I love owls, they are cute but mystical creatures. Since it’s almost time for Holidays season, I decided to make a little Christmas owl. It’s really cute, I took some photos to show it off to the world.
Its size is about 5 inch tall, crocheted with a 2.75mm hook. I like to use small hooks for my plushes to get a very tight stitch. The fiberfill won’t show through the holes using a smaller hook.
I used felt to make the contour of the eyes, the feet, and the beak. I used a glue gun to attach these pieces, I like it better than fabric glue even if it can get very messy.
Here is a side view of Mr Owl, I think he is very proud! His little wings are sewed to the side, but I glued the hat on the head, I didn’t want any white thread to show on the head, it looks cleaner this way.
Another view from the back. His hat is folded in two and glued to the bottom. I added a pom-pom because there is no Christmas hat without a pom-pom!
Voila! My little Christmas owl is really excited about celebrating the Christmas season, he is a great addition to Holidays decor, don’t you think?
Here is a little graduation owl that just made it through the school of cuteness, class of 2016. It even has his little diploma under his wings to prove it! This is a crochet pattern that is available on ETSY. This project only take a few hours to make, and doesn’t require a lot of materials.
Crocheted with a 2.5mm hook, the size of this owl is approximatively 5 inch tall. You can check out more photos, and details about this pattern at The Lofty Loop.
